Who is better than a teacher in making his student an ideal moral being?
In my view, even great leaders like Abraham Lincoln have recognized this fact. This is evident from the way Lincoln asks his son’s teacher to bring up his son. Lincoln wants his son to be brought up as a good citizen, a good social and moral being. He tells the teacher to cultivate faith in humanity and the goodness of human beings in him. Lincoln asks his child to learn the wonder of books. He must also love nature and should have faith in his own ideas. A good citizen should be a good leader. He should not be a follower of crowd. His son should realize that his brain and strength can be given to those who value it. But he should be kind and considerate to all. Thus Lincoln tells us how a good citizen can be moulded.
